Why we started Easy Chicken Club
When we started broiler chicken farming about ten years ago, we couldn’t find day-old chicks anywhere. We got so desperate that we bought from a seller we didn’t know, and we were sold male layer chicks. However well we fed them, they never grew like broiler chickens.
Without quality day-old chicks, there is no broiler chicken farming. We built Easy Chicken Club so that small-scale commercial farmers don’t have to face that alone.
Coming soon: the next evolution of Easy Chicken Club
We’re planning the Easy Chicken Hub: a local production and distribution centre shared by a group of farmers. It will have a hatchery for reliable day-old chicks, a small abattoir, shared distribution and chicken outlets.
It isn’t running yet. We’re building it step by step, starting with the network of farmers we have today.
