The Easy Chicken App is made by Easy Chicken Club (Pty) Ltd. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your information. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
Delete it in the app (fastest)
- Open the Easy Chicken App and sign in.
- Open the menu (the button with three lines, top left), then Settings (your Profile’s Account tab).
- Tap Delete my account, read what will happen, and tap Delete my account again.
Your account is deleted straight away.
No app? Ask us
Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +27 69 339 4013 and write “Delete my account”. Send it from the email address or phone number on your account, or tell us which email address you signed in with, so we know it’s you. We delete your account within 30 days and tell you when it’s done.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, age range and gender.
- Your sign-in, and your place on every farm team.
- Your MamaG chats: your questions and the photos you added to them, MamaG’s answers, your ratings and the answers you reported, and the saved audio of answers read aloud.
- Your words and photos in the complaints you made. The complaint itself stays with the farm, without them.
What is kept, and for how long
- Records you entered on a farm other people still use (feed, losses, weights, sales and so on) stay with that farm for the rest of its team, without your name.
- A farm that only you use: its records are kept without the farm’s name, phone number or location, only for combined statistics that can’t identify anyone. Its photos, voice notes, documents and logo are deleted.
- Orders, quotations, invoices and payments: 5 years after the transaction, as tax law requires.
- Crash and error reports: up to 90 days. App-use data, without your name: up to 24 months.
- WhatsApp messages you sent ECC, and our replies: 24 months, then deleted. Ask us if you want them deleted sooner.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule, so deleted information may stay in a backup for a short time before it is removed.
If you own a farm other people use
A farm can’t be left without an owner. In the app, open Profile → Farm → Team and make someone else an owner first, then delete your account. If you can’t, tell us and we’ll help.
Delete some information and keep your account
- A MamaG chat: open the chat and tap Delete this chat.
- Anything else (your phone number, a farm, your records): email [email protected] or WhatsApp +27 69 339 4013. We reply within 30 days.
